The Deori Autonomous Council (DAC) is committed to protecting the privacy of its citizens. This policy outlines our institutional practices regarding the collection, use, and security of personal information processed through the DAC Connect portal.
Personal Identification
When you register for a citizen account or apply for council schemes, we collect personally identifiable information (PII) including your full legal name, date of birth, contact details, and residential address.
Verification Documentation
For scheme eligibility auditing, we collect digital scans of government-issued ID cards (Aadhaar, Voter ID, PAN) and academic/medical certificates. These are used strictly for institutional verification.
Financial Disbursement Data
To facilitate Direct Benefit Transfers (DBT), we collect bank account numbers, IFSC codes, and branch details. This data is handled via encrypted institutional gateways.
Information collected via the DAC Connect portal is utilized for the following official purposes:
- Citizen authentication and account management
- Automated and manual scheme eligibility auditing
- Processing of financial aid and scholarship payouts
- Direct communication regarding application status
- Internal statistical analysis for council planning
- Regulatory compliance with Assam state laws
We implement robust administrative, technical, and physical security measures to safeguard citizen data. All transmissions are encrypted using industry-standard SSL technology. Data is stored in secure cloud environments with strictly controlled access granted only to authorized council officials.
